James "Willy" Willis Edens

He was born to the Joseph Bernard and Mary Florence Bland Edens in Louisville, Kentucky on August 18, 1970.

Willy was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and just being outside. This was evident in his career as a lawn manicurist with American Landscape Management. He took pride in making a lawn look perfect! He also was a heavy equipment operator for 20+ years. Above all, he loved providing and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Joe Edens; son, Matthew Scott Reynolds; sister, Jeannie Burress; and niece, Mary Nicole Evans.

Left to cherish the memory of Willy are his wife, Lillian Hall; children, Dillon Edens, Emily Edens, Jacob Austin Edens, Samantha Aldridge, and Carissa Rochet; mom, Florence Barnard; siblings, David Edens (Dawn), Deborah Willoughby (Carl), Brenda Foster, Michael Edens, and Louis Edens; extended family and many friends.

A celebration of Willy's life will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 1pm at Sligo Baptist Church, 65 County Road 1309, Pendleton, KY with burial to follow at Floydsburg Cemetery in Crestwood, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 11am until the start of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home for services or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Willy's memory.
