During life, we are often blessed with people that we owe a debt of gratitude. Levi was one of these people. Levi was a kind and humble man. He strived to do his best every day in everything that he did. I can’t count the number of times Levi encouraged me in my journey with school or helped me at work. Levi never passed the opportunity to help others.

There are countless people who Levi’s life enriched. Levi was a devoted family man and talked of them often, family was everything to him. I’m thankful for his kindness and his advice that he shared. I will miss our I message games we used to play, and his laugh. He will be greatly missed. Thank you, Levi, for you I owe a debt of gratitude.  

I remember the first time I met your Levi, and was quite excited because I knew from listening to you and reading your posts that he was one of the best!  Your Mom and all her sisters had gone to Louisville for a girls weekend, and Levi brought you to meet us crazy ladies for supper.  Levi was meeting most of us for the first time and he handled it well!  He was so sweet and though he had to have been overwhelmed, he took us all in stride. Was very gracious and kind. I could see just how much he loved and cared about you! 

I am proud to have known Levi.  I have not met many people of such character.  I am honored to find that he spoke so highly of me.

I met Levi and his awesome family at Real Family Church. No doubt, Levi was a devoted husband and father, a great cook (delicious greens) and an all around cool dude.  Levi was hilariously funny. He had a sophomoric wit about him that would have ya shaking ya head and laughing hysterically.  That being said,  I found him to be a huge inspiration to me regarding my faith. Recently, Levi gave his testimony at church while doing the Holy Communion.  I sat there listening to Levi open up to the congregation and share his story.  It  was moving and I will never forget that day.  I am a better person for having known Levi McCandless and I will miss him.

Your husband/father was a special person. I had the privilege of knowing him only a few years that we worked together. We worked together on 3rd shift. We would talk every night about life. I never had the chance to meet the 3 of you but I feel like I know you. We spent a lot of time talking about our families. I have 2 girls the same age. You could see how much he loved you all because every time he started telling a story about one or all of you he would light up. He was very good at his job as well. I work maintenance and if I needed a hand he was the one I wanted. I was trying to talk him in to going to maintenance. The only thing stopping him was that he knew that he would be placed on 2nd shift. He told me that he would miss out on to much family time.  His faith was solid as well. We had many conversations on this topic as well. I knew I’m rambling on I’m just trying to tell you what you already know, your husband/dad was a great man and will be truly missed. I will continue to keep your family in my prayers. 

I love that Levi loved Ashleigh like no other. The love Ashleigh always wanted and he was able to give you daughters that loved you as well. I don’t know him either but I do know that he was a man of God and God placed him in your life for an amazing reason. 

One of my very first impressions of Levi was the absolutely precious moment I happened to see at the curtain call for "Something's Afoot." You were so adorable in your costume, and he walked up to the edge of the stage. Your face lit up from within and you kissed him. His expression and your expression.....I thought, "That right there....that's the real deal." How right I was. ❤

Brian's memory is at your wedding...when the DJ said "Now everyone join us on the floor and dance with the bride and groom." He said he remembers walking toward you and then taking a sharp turn and grabbing Levi. He says Levi's expression of surprise was priceless, but then Levi leaned into it and they danced for a brief, beautiful moment. 😁❤

Levi was a faithful husband, father & devoted church member. 
The loss of Levi will be felt by everyone but he has left a legacy through his girls, Lilly & Eva. What a bright torch to carry! We love Ashleigh & pray for comfort during this time.

Levi, my friend. So sorry to hear this news.

I've though a lot about our friendship over the last couple of days. Chatting with you a month or so ago. 

Some things that I'll never forget about you are your smile and laugh; they were both infectious. Your honesty. Your character. And last but certainly not least, your friendship.
I'm happy to have so many memories and sad to say goodbye. You have definitely left a mark on my life, as you have so many others.

Until we meet again, "Later brother".

First and foremost I want all of you to know how sorry I am for your loss.  Levi was a good man and we had some great times together in life; we shared a lot of laughs.  
One of my favorite times with him was when we took his first Jeep off-roading.  We were with a group in four or five vehicles and at one point every one of the trucks/SUVs were stuck in the mud by Sugar Creek.  Somehow Levi managed to get the Jeep unstuck and we got to drive home.  The other guys were not so lucky!  They had to get some heavy machinery into the woods the next day to pull some of the vehicles out.  It made the three of us in his Jeep appreciate Jeep Wranglers and his driving skills.  

One day I was fishing with my dad. I cast my line out into the water and my dad was baiting his hook. I was staring at my bobber and my dad went to cast out his line.
I heard a plop in the water and I hear my dad tell “OH NO MY POLE”
Half of his pole went into the water 😂 
He was so upset about it but I was dying of laughter
