He was a member of Ballardsville Baptist Church and retired from Ballardsville Fire Department where he served for 60 years as a fireman and on the Board of Trustees. Marvin was also a retired after 43 years as a mechanic for Smiser and Carter.
Survivors include his wife: Joyce Wilson Cook; son: Marvin Kerry Cook (Linda); granddaughter: Kayce Lynn Cook Wells (Josh); sister: Anna Blaydes Truitt and her son Glenn Rice; sister in laws; Jan Wilson and Judy Jesse (Neil).
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 AM at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home with burial to follow in Valley of Rest Cemetery. Visitation on Sunday from 3-8 PM.
