He was an avid sports fan, coached girls fast pitch softball, especially loved the UK Wildcats and lived life with passion to the fullest. Richard was also a Catholic and was formerly employed by Cardinal Insulation.
Preceded by his parents Richard Edward and Mary Evelyn Hilds Sr.
Survivors include his wife: Ethel Hamilton Hild; children: Richard William Hild and Ashley Nicole Hild; sisters: Sandra Thacker (Ronnie), Donna Fickentsher, Sylvia Poynter, and Linda Foster (Larry) and many nieces and nephews who Richard adored and loved.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Visitation on Thursday and Friday from 4-8 PM .
