Tim graduated from Eastern High School in 1979 and the Polytechnic Society of Kentucky in 1981. Following his education, he embarked on a career he excelled at and was proud of as an Architectural and Construction Draftsman, contributing to notable projects such as the Waterfront Plaza and Yum Center. He worked for many respected architectural and engineering firms all through his career.
Tim is survived by his wife, Mi Cherie Schenck, his daughter, Kiah Melissa Nichols, and her husband, Michael. He is also survived by his granddaughter Winona , his mother, Mary Ellen Horton; his siblings, Greg Brown and Melissa Brown; his best friend, Robert "Biggie" Kiser, his beloved dogs, Ella and Grady , as well as a vast number of cousins, extended family, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James Brown.
A car enthusiast, Tim owned two Mustangs throughout his years. His passion for music was evident, enjoying just about anything except Jazz. Attending concerts was a true joy for him. The beach was his happy place, with many family trips both domestic and abroad, though the West Coast of Florida kept calling his name.
Tim was a thrill seeker, whether it was driving motorcycles or cars too fast when he was younger, to scuba diving in the Pacific, and Atlantic oceans as well as the Caribbean waters, to hosting parties in his home that were memorable and fun for all that attended. Tim made friends wherever he went and a large number stayed close through his cancer journey and lifetime.
In honor of Tim, a visitation will be held on January 13, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at 6:00 pm. Both events will take place at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, located at 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange, Kentucky.
The family expresses their gratitude to the Norton Cancer Institute for their care during Tim's cancer journey for many years. Tim would like donations in his memory to go to the Norton Healthcare Foundation in lieu of flowers.
When you hear the roar of a Mustang, the tranquility of the waves on the beach, a musical memory, a Butchertown Pub saying, or a Tom Petty tune, think of your favorite Tim moment and smile. Put a handle on it! (IYKYK)
