Wallace L. "Wally" Nay

Wallace L. (Wally) Nay 78, passed away February 7, 2014 at his residence with his family by his side. He was the son of the late Ernest and Christine Nay. He was preceded in death by his beloved son Eddie, his sister Irene Brooks, brothers, Joseph Nay, Carlton “Jiggs” Nay and Milo Nay.

He was in Law Enforcement from 1958 to 1999. He retired as Oldham County Sheriff in 1999. He was past president of the LaGrange Kiwanis Club, served on the LaGrange City Council as well as the LaGrange Cemetery Board and was a Kentucky Colonel.

Wallace is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Betty (Capito) Nay, daughter Beverly S. “Susie” Nation (Wilmer), daughter-in-law Charlene Nay, Grandchildren, Cindy Votaw (Mark), Amy Pitchford (John), William Lee Nay (Alicia), Betty Sue Nation, Great Grandchildren, Jordan Votaw, Steven Votaw, Kaitlyn Pitchford, Jeremy Pitchford, Gretchen Nation, Kaylee Nay, Nathan Votaw, and Kendall Nay, Sister-in-law, Pauline Cain, Brother-in-law, Jack Capito, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Monday February 10, 2014 at 11:00am at DeHaven Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Valley of Rest. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00pm until 7:00pm at Heady –Radcliffe Funeral Home in LaGrange, KY.
