Anita Catherine Fisher

As a registered nurse, Mrs. Fisher held many nursing positions throughout her life and retired from LaPorte ISD as a high school nurse in 1983. In 1991 she helped found a Ladies of Charity chapter in Lakeway, Texas and the Lake Travis Thrift Shop. She was an avid world traveler both independently and as a member of Friendship Force. She was also a founding member of LAMP (Learning Activities for Mature People) at the University of Texas.

She was preceded in death by Edwin Fisher, her husband of 52 years, and George Wright, her brother. She is survived by her four children: Ellen McLoughlin (Al), David Fisher, Lisa Fisher, and James Fisher (Karen), eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Memorial mass will be held at Emmaus Catholic Church, 1718 Lohman’s Crossing, Lakeway TX 78734
