Barbara was born Barbara Margaret Gremillion on October 13th, 1931 in Plaucheville Louisiana, and spent most of her childhood in Crowley Lousiana. Her father, Wiley Gremillion was the owner, proprietor of Gremillion's Drug Store which is still there today. She married L. Linton Bowman III on September 9th, 1951 and moved to Greenville TX where they lived and raised two children. They moved to Austin Texas in 1978. Barbara loved to cook, sing, dance, laugh, and the company of her friends and loved ones. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.
The family wishes to sincerely thank all of the wonderful friends that we have had the honor and pleasure to have known over the years.
Barbara is survived by her sister Dona Harris of Naples Florida, her daughter Sarah Bowman McCoy and husband Todd McCoy of Dallas TX, son Carey Bowman and wife Kim Bowman of Austin, and her two grandchildren Maggie and Sam Bowman of Austin.
Per Barbara's wishes, there will be no memorial service. Just remember her fondly.
