Christopher Thomas Whited, 41, of Austin, passed away on April 3, 2021, while spending time at the coast enjoying one of his favorite pastimes – fishing. An unfortunate boating accident cut his life short; however, he lived his life to the fullest during his brief time on this earth.
Christopher was born on July 12, 1979, to James and Marsha Whited of Liberty Hill. He graduated from Liberty Hill High School and worked hard to start his own business in construction. As a youngster, he loved to design and build things with his hands. This interest in construction continued and Christopher loved designing, building, and watching a home come together. He expanded his business venture by also adding a landscape and supply business.
Christopher treasured the time he spent with his son, Jace. Chris was an affectionate father who managed to provide Jace with a lifetime’s worth of love in just 10 years. They even had a special way of saying I love you, “wawa.” Jace will always remember his daddy as hardworking and caring.
Christopher was an avid fisherman, hunter, and traveler. He valued family time and often planned trips and invited his family to experience these trips with him. He traditionally celebrated his birthday with his twin sister, Christie, and the entire family down at the coast for the last 30 years. Christopher also loved spending time with his friends as he never met a stranger; everywhere he passed through, people knew his name or at least his truck. Many of his friends and family can vouch for the fact that he could do anything that needed to be done. He had a big heart and was always helping others.
Christopher met the love of his life, Lexi three years ago, and fell in love with her love for Jace. Although their time on Earth together was brief, they had plans of marriage and growing old together.
Christopher was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Thomas Whited. He is survived by his son Jace; parents James and Marsha Whited; siblings James Whited and wife Tammy and children: Jillian, Grayson, Kaylee, and Lily, Christie Schuessler and husband Dennis and children: Ethan, Madison, and Marissa, Bradley Whited and Paul; the love of his life, Lexi Baldwin; grandmother Rosie Whited; ex-wife Jennifer Whited; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
