She loved her family, friends, all the family dogs, and especially enjoyed spending time with her young granddaughters. She was an extremely proud and loving mother who wanted little more than to be with her children and grandchildren. Karen was a strong woman of God and she shared that love graciously. She also loved the Pacific Ocean and watching the sunset at some of her favorite beaches in Monterey, Carmel and Encinitas.
Karen is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Calhoun and her husband Paul C. Jesson; Stacey Calhoun Lehman and her husband Brian Lehman; and sons, Matthew Calhoun and his wife Amanda Russell; and Michael Calhoun and his wife Diane Cordero. She also leaves behind two beloved granddaughters, Blaine McKenzie Lehman and Rowan Elizabeth Lehman, and Paul L. Calhoun to whom she was married to for 45 years.
Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Remembrance Gardens at Riverbend, 4214 Capital of TX Hwy North. A reception will follow.
