

Ron was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 14, 1940. His parents were Juan Den Hoed and Lisl Sauter. He moved to the United States in 1966.
Ron attended several schools, both in Argentina and here in the United States, including MIT, Connecticut State College, and Moorpark College.
After a service in the U.S. Army from June 1968 to February of 1972, in Vietnam, Ron settled in Los Angeles, California. His work put his computer skills and sales abilities to work. He spent most of his career at AT&T as a Senior Sales Executive, and at Sprint as Global Sales Manager. His work involved lots of travel, which he enjoyed. Ron spoke fluent Spanish and several other languages.
He was married to his current wife, Laurel, in 1983. They lived in California until they both retired in 2013 and moved to Texas.
Ron was a devout Christian and member of The Lakeway Church. He was active in the HOA, WCID, Mercedes Benz Club, and several community associations. He was valued for his intelligence, his sense of humor, and his wonderful, positive attitude.
Ron is survived by his wife, Laurel. Also, his daughter, Michelle Kersnick, husband Robert, and grandchildren Katie, Kyler, and Krista; his son Phil and grandson Austin; and his sister Elly in Argentina.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, September 21st, at 11:00 at the Lakeway Church. He will be interred at the Memorial Garden in Lakeway.
