Tyler was born on July 17, 1989, in El Paso, Texas, to Bill and Barbara Simpson. In 1992, he became a proud big brother to Troy Charles Simpson. In 2000, the Simpson family relocated to Austin, where Tyler grew up and built lifelong friendships.
He attended Lake Travis High School and graduated in 2007. After high school, Tyler went on to attend Texas State University in San Marcos, where he studied business and became a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity, continuing his vibrant and social spirit. Before completing his degree, Tyler realized his passion lay elsewhere and returned to Austin to join the family business.
Tyler was bright, passionate, and full of life. His positive energy filled every room he entered, and he had a rare gift for making everyone feel welcome, turning strangers into instant friends. He had a deep love for rescuing dogs, a passion he carried throughout his life. Tyler was a loyal friend, a great listener, and someone people could always count on. His smile was infectious, his laughter contagious, and his hugs unforgettable to all who knew him.
He shared the Simpson family’s “twisted sense of humor,” and together, Tyler and his brother Troy could bring a room to roaring laughter in moments. Tyler loved life and embraced every activity, whether water skiing, swimming, snow skiing, bowling, or spending time out at the ranch. But above all, golf was his true passion. From his youth through adulthood, he found joy on the course, especially during rounds shared with Troy, family, and close friends.
Tyler was raised in a family of faith, though his own faith was deeply personal and private. Recently, the family discovered journals and notes of faith, love, and grace within his three Bibles. Words that continue to touch and comfort those who love him.
Tyler is survived by his loving parents, Bill and Barbara Simpson, and his brother, Troy. He was preceded in death by his cherished grandparents, aunts, and uncle.
