Thank you for showing me how to be myself and not someone else ,and for giving me the beautiful gift of your Daughter. I will do my best to take care of your girls  and make you proud. Bernie, you were the first one we saw and talked to in the neighborhood even before we moved into our home, and we felt welcome and happy. We loved seeing you walk by, chatting with you, and we're glad you met our Little D. We're sure you were a lucky man with a lucky family and a life well lived. We will dearly miss you. May God rest your soul and give comfort to your family.

I remember when you would always pick me up after work.  Never late and always good conversation on the way home.  To the man who was like a 2nd Father to me and treated me so kindly.  I will miss your sweet face and silly jokes...

Grandpa, you will be missed and you hold a special place in our hearts!

Wow what to say about a man who lived such a full life and did it with such tenacity and grace. You were my hero Papa, my children adore you and will miss you more than you know. I will always cherish our morning coffee and trips to the mountains...roller skating in the kitchen and homemade chicken noodle soup. Tell Grandma I love her and hug Vickie for me.
