Born March 18, 1944 in Bell, CA, Passed January 19, 2022 Lancaster CA
Carolyn was the daughter of Fred and Opal Pigg, raised in California with her sisters, Wanda Quinton, Joeva Quinton and Freda Eskew. Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, her mother, firstborn son, Robert, grandson Brett, and sisters, Wanda and Joeva.
The family lived in various locations before settling in the Antelope Valley in her youth. She met the love of her life, Alfred Wallis in Rosamond. They married on October 7, 1961 and had three children, Robert E. Wallis (1962-1964), Rhonda (Wallis) Deal and Charles G. Wallis. Carolyn was the proud grandmother to Sharisse Deal, Tyler Deal, Heather (Wallis) Martinez and Brett Wallis.
Together with her husband, they would build a life in Rosamond as pastors of the Assembly of God church for over 40 years. One of her greatest joys was supporting and loving her husband and her family with her amazing hugs, fabulous cooking and encouraging words.
Carolyn loved to sing worship songs all day long and faithfully read her Bible daily. Her faith in God never wavered even after great loss or pain. She would often say, "God is faithful! He will never fail you - so believe it!" She lived her testimony to God's faithfulness for 77 years.
Carolyn had the loving heart to 'mother' and care for so many people. She loved hugging people and listening to their stories while encouraging each time to Trust God because He is Faithful. Very seldom did one find her being for the center of attention, instead she was searching to share her love with those around her.
Her Sunday dinners were epic with so many portions of great food - she would sit at the side of the table and beam with delight as her family and friends enjoyed the feast she had created. We could always feel her extreme joy in serving, giving and loving people in her home.
She leaves behind a vast void in her family, friends and church. Her smile, her hugs, her constant encouragement, her great pride in her husband, children and grandchildren all wrapped within her unfailing love of God is irreplaceable.
We are all blessed and grateful to have her for 77 years and will never stop missing her. But we are assured that she has now received her greatest reward by hearing her Savior say, "Well done my good and faithful servant, enter into my rest."
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
