Charles Vincent Degen will never be forgotten passing away Wednesday, December 21st, 2016 leaving behind the love of his life of 61 years, Beverly and his beloved family. If anyone could author a book on family legacy, it would be Chuck. Born May 22nd, 1934, and raised in Calaveras County, Chuck loved gold prospecting, hunting, fishing, camping, and wood working. Living in the Antelope Valley for 64 years, Chuck was a veteran airman at Edwards Air Force Base, insurance agent at Stephen B. Marvin Agency, devoted Troop leader, Wagon Master for the Sunrise Camper Club, member of Lancaster Elks Lodge, creator of “Dice on Ice”, and cribbage player. Remembered as a Christian man with a servant’s heart, Chuck had passion for his church, the Boy Scouts of America, and helping anyone in need. Yet the true legacy was in his marriage to his beloved Beverly, his three sons, and family.
