Delmar moved to Lancaster and married his wife Gert in 1957. He was loved and will be missed dearly by his family-wife Gert, children Dean (Sherri), Cheri (Steve), Gary, Craig (Marta), Nick (Janet) and Lisa (Skip), 15 grand children, 8 great grand children, and an abundance of friends. Delmar and Gert attended Lancaster Baptist church. Delmar was known as an exceptional farmer, an avid hunter/fisherman, and a fun family man. He was a young 78 years old when he sadly lost his fight with Pancreatic Cancer.
A private burial will be held for family.
Delmar will be honored at a Celebration of Life (lunch) held at the Van Dam Pavilion at the AV Fairgrounds on Thursday, June 5th at 1:00pm for all of those who loved him and thought him a friend. Attire is Farmer Casual as he would have wanted.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable gifts be made to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center supporting the pancreatic cancer research of Andrew Hendifar, MD and Richard Tuli, MD.
