Esther Elaine Templeton

Esther Elaine Templeton also commonly known as, Mom, Grandma, Granny Jojo, or Mojo Granny passed away on March 3, 2021 at the age of 93. Her spirit is carried on by her two children, six grandkids, 18 great grandkids, and six great-great grandkids.

Esther was born in 1927 in Escondido, CA to Martin and Caroline Engle. She grew up in Cantil, CA. She married the love of her life Arthur B. Templeton in 1945 and they made their home in Mojave.

A longtime resident of Mojave Esther owned and operated Esther’s Flowers for over 30 years. During those thirty years she offered more than just flowers. She was a florist, confidante, therapist, teacher, provider, and so much more to the people of the surrounding communities.

Esther had a love for genealogy, over the years she managed to trace her family’s roots back as far as records allowed. She loved to travel, She also had a love for all things ice skating, NSCAR, and rodeo.

Esther was a strong, determined and fiercely independent woman. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. “When we lose someone we love we must learn not to live without them but to live with the love they left behind” Lucky for us she left behind a lifetime time of love and memories to cherish.

Graveside services will be held Friday March 12, 2021, 11:00am at Mojave Cemetery 2040 Belshaw St, Mojave CA.
