Glenn was born in Deerfield, Kansas on October 28, 1928. He was the oldest of 12 children born to Glenn & Rose Losey. The family moved to the Antelope Valley in early 1938.
Glenn and his brother Lester worked as hay haulers at a very young age. Because they worked together everyday they were an exceptional team, resulting in an invitation to compete in the Hay loading contest. In 1950 they won “Muscles vs Machines”. Twelve years in a row Glenn won the Hay Loading event, ten of those years with Lester. The Losey Brothers became the Legends of the Rural Olympics and were inducted into the Rural Olympics Hall of Fame in 2006.
Glenn married the love of his life, Carman Huston, in 1948. Together they had three children, Gale, Glenna and Glenn II. On July 16, 2018 they celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary. His beloved Carman preceded him in death on January 3, 2019.
Glenn is survived by his children Gale (George) Hurd, Glenna Campbell and Glenn Losey II. Grand children Kevin (Debbie) Campbell, Jeff (Carol) Hurd, Michelle (Steve) McKnight, Kyle (Stacey) Hurd, Peggy (Justin) Murphy, Brooke Losey , Glenn Losey III and numerous great and great great grandchildren.
