Mikey. I miss you. Today the kids asked me where my Dad was. I told them you were not here anymore. Myles said that must make me sad and I told him that it does but I am so happy that I had you when I did. I told them about your goofiness and how you could never just let me take a serious picture. Molly said like me. And she is like you.  So goofy. I wish we had these times together.  I wish they had you.
Sometimes I struggle as a parent. I’m too hard on them. I wish I could be like you. It was so natural to you. Your ability to be so kind and patient with us. 
One day I hope you and I get to talk about My and Mo and just how great they are. I hope I get to hear that you saw it all. 
I love you Dad and I think about you every day.

I know I go by everyday wishing you were here with us. Our family was complete with you here and it often feels as if there is now a hole that will never be filled now. I know people say that it will get easier and it will feel better one day, but Mikey you truly are a person who can never be replaced. A father like you is what most people hope for. I hope you know that you made such an impact in my life. You had such an impact in my soul and in my heart. There is not a single day that goes by that I dont think of a mike-ism. Thats a thing you used to do.  I can't go a single episode of house  hunters without thinking that the people are annoying or watch a home improvment show without wondering what you would say they are doing wrong. I hope that wherever you are, you know how much I appreciate the time I had with you. You are my Dad and always will be. I hope you know there is a new addition to the family and I know that the two of you would have had the best of time together. I hope you know that the support you gave me in school and life made the person I am today. I love you Dad. I miss you.

The sun still rises, the world still turns, but somehow I still feel frozen in place. You walked into my life and made it complete, became a father with no conditions, grudges, or resentments. You brought your smile, kind heart, and unwavering support, and I found that it was what I sorely needed all along. Now that you are gone from this earth, I find that I can't accept your absence. I wish you were here so that I can tell you Happy Birthday and that I love you. I wish I could show you my diploma, and tell you that my success would not have been possible without you. I can tell you now that a day will not go by that I won't have you in my thoughts, and that every good I will try to do in this world will be in your loving memory. You will always be missed Mike. We shared a common interest in many things such as grading the lot at your new home w/ the old Ford tractor my dad left me. You gave it a new home and cared for it when it broke down. That meant a lot to me. I'll always remember the zeal you had for life and the goodness in which you treated people. Take care my friend.

Mikey, I hope you know how much you are missed. One doesn't often find a friend that shares the same values and sense of humor. We always had fun at cars shows, working on our cars or just having a meal together. I almost grabbed for my phone to call you the other day to give you some info I heard. I'll miss our conversations. You were as goofy and real as anyone I've met. It's awesome that you got to have and enjoy Liz and the girls in your life! RIP buddy!

Rest in peace Mikey. My condolences to all of his siblings and nieces and nephews. 

When we first met in the early seventies it was clear that yours was a light that shined bright. Although we only saw each other a little more than a handful of times,  I enjoyed myself immensely in your presence. 

Like so many others in our family,  your light was extinguished much too soon.

We are so saddened by the loss of our camping and riding buddy.  Words can not express how lost we feel.  Liz, Katrina and Alyssa we are so very sorry for your loss.  You will forever be a part of our family.

We were stunned and saddened to hear of Mike's passing. When I reflect back on the 38+ years of friendship, there are so many good times to remember...cruising Van Nuys Blvd, street races, weddings, car shows, parties, vacations and camping trips. You will be missed.
