Paul, I met you in 5th grade, me as a new student entering a new school. We would stare at each other from across rooms, each too shy to speak to one another. We did this all throughout the rest of our school days. I remember how smart I thought you were, and funny, and of course, good looking. I would see you here and there in the neighborhood after we graduated, but our lives had taken differing courses. I never forgot you. How can one forget their first crush? 30 years later, we reconnected on FB.  Childhood friends are always your friends, and we both understood that, and it shall be for the rest of my life. I cherish my memories of you.

I met Paul as a new student at Pomelo elementary entering 5th grade. He was always kind and funny and he was my first crush (I suspect he was many girls first crushes!). Many great memories. Peaceful journey Paul. I will always think of you with love and light.

Words just don't seem adequate, but know there are many caring hearts reaching out to you and the family. My prayers and thoughts are with you all.

We lost a great man - Husband, father, friend.  Paul will be greatly missed by all those who's lives he touched.

Although we didn't know Paul very well it was clear how much he loved his family.  We are so sorry for your loss.

Paul was a special man whom I'll always remember with admiration and affection.  He was intelligent and outspoken. He got things done.  He was a rare breed who served as head of two different youth sports organizations.  He and I collaborated to compete successfully for the AYSO national games.  I still chuckle at his tossing T-shirts to a full house of kids he brought to celebrate!  His AYSO tournament collaborated with arch rival CYSA that brought quality teams from Mexico, Costa Rica and the U.S.  He and his wife Nancy were very supportive of a Germany exchange program, Nancy serving overseas as team mother (I still have my blue duffle bag!)  Paul was a dynamic leader whom I considered a friend.  He made a difference and we all share in his loss.  My deepest sympathies.

i sat next to paul in the 5th grade and have been friends with him ever since.  we thought a lot alike.  im a lucky man and a better man for having known him.  im devasted by his loss.  but he will live in my heart and mind forever
