My Nephew ReShawn was quite a charismatic young man.  He was strong spirited and full of life.  ReShawn also came from a family of God fearing devoted people.

 I remember one time you were in a car accident and your bro and I came to see you in the hospital, and we were worried before we got there. But from the time we walked in your hospital room til the time we left, you had us laughing the whole time.  That was you most times we saw you.  You brought smiles and laughter. My mind, soul, and spirit is still wrestling with your transition. It is inconceivable to think that my cousin with so much talent, life, and intellectual capacity. Has now found residence in the eternal kingdom,  waiting on the arrival of his loved ones. From childhood memories, until our recent conversations, your light was on display. You shined while facing adversities and roadblocks that most would fold under. I truly believed that you would find strength within; a strength that would help you navigate this recent storm. I never stopped believing in your potential, and that's what makes your transition so difficult. I love you dearly cousin; I wish I had a chance to see your signature smile once more. I wish I could rewind time, and re-live our fondest childhood memories together. I wish we could take random trips to your "friends house", you know what I mean 😉😉. Your mysterious "friends house" that was actually cute girls 😆. I wish I could have another animated video chat with you,  or listen to you freestyle without missing a beat. Rest in Paradise cousin. Dream Red, writing this still doesn’t sit right but to know you’re at peace gives me some ease. I hate that this happened but your big smile will always be remembered. When I explained to your niece Mya, she said “Mom he made us pancakes, he was my sweet sweet uncle” and that brought joy to me because even the kids knew how sweet and loving you was. My dearest Reshawn you and your twin have been a blessing to me 37 years I’ve  been blessed to see u both grow up to be 2 unique young men  but red you was the one sensitive giving and trusting I want u to know it’s been a joy being ur mom I’m not gonna go through all that should’ve could’ve Mumbo jumbo stuff all I know is my prayers where answered when I found your seven day fasting prayer I know you went to God and for that I’m humbled and  greatful what hurts is u where robbed for your  life you weren’t able to share that joy with world but it’s okay I believe in our king  confess it with our mouth and believe in the  promise that if we believe Jesus gave his life so that we may have a second chance and he was risen on the third  day I also know we will be together again  Reshawn mommy is lost hard to go on with you but u will always be with u can’t ever be replaced  ur one of a kind forever my  Reshawn Carlton Wingfield   and  mommy loves you🥲

Your memory will always be alive in my heart, my Love for you may not have been easy for you to see. I know we at times didn’t see eye to eye, but your respect for your elders allowed you to disagree. As you kept your respect level high, and I Love you even more for that. I remember the time you said to me that you wanted to live your life how you wanted too. I respected your decision as your own man for the direction you chose for yourself. I shared some of my experiences with street life with you explaining some of what I had lived and the cost. I remember praying as your mom and sister were on their way to you, asking that God’s will is for you to survive. I remember the call from them that you had transitioned, it didn’t even seem real. I kept hoping there was a mistake even while in the pit of my stomach I knew. I was able to take some comfort from reading in your writing tablet that you were on a seven day fasting prayer. Clear evidence that you had chosen a different direction for your life, and for that I am grateful. And heart broken because you weren’t allowed to live out this direction for your life. Love always your Dad.

Sending my condolences to my cousins during this very, very  difficult time. Red you will be missed! 37 years was not enough time  for any of Us. It is so sad to see you go. From the memories I have  of You cuzzo, you  were always the life of the party! You were fun to be around and always was confident in how you carried yourself and you were never afraid to speak your mind.  Your smile and energy was contagious. Whenever you weren’t around, people would know and ask where’s Red?!  I’m so sad we didn’t get to reunite and spend time together. We are only 5 years apart and you should have to have gone so soon. I  know the lord has other plans for you and you will be reunited with our family members who are waiting for you at the gates of heaven. Eternally Rest Cuzzo! You will never be forgotten!! 

I'ma miss you.. I met you at a time in your life when things weren't the best but God still introduced us to one another. I gained some lessons from you, all of them good, you were a great listener and great friend had a beautiful spirit but a broken soul. I'll never forget you friend. Fly high now that you got your wings God is waiting on you. Bless his family 💔
