Willie Austin Harris, born in Paris, Arkansas to parents James "Ed" and Faye Laverne Harris on October 9, 1945 went to be with our lord at age 80 on January 5, 2026 at his home in Boron, California. A lifelong artist taught for the Arkansas school system for many years prior to later becoming a miner for US Borax until retirement. Willie thoroughly enjoyed all forms of art, including many paintings, sketches as well as crafted items. He also took great joy in sharing his hobbies with family and friends, always taking time to teach his craft when others showed interest.
Willie is preceded in death by his parents Ed and Laverne Harris, and his brother James Harris
Willie is survived by his sister Charlene Umsted, Aunt Myrtle Kuykendall, nephews Raymond (Tammie) Umsted, Jesse (Kelly) Umsted, great-nephews and great-nieces Kyle (Ariane) Love, Jessica (Tyler) Beck, Raylene Umsted, and Carson Umsted along with many loved great-great nieces and nephews.]
