Born on November 29th, 1949 in San Salvador, El Salvador in Central America to Raul Arturo Caceres & Julia Angelica Gonzalez de Caceres. She has one older brother, Ricardo Caceres who lives in Detroit, MI currently. She was raised by her grandmother, Leonor Gonzalez after her mother passed at Aida’s tender age of 2. As a child and early adulthood, Aida grew up in a very humble & poor environment, was very active, always on an adventure with her Brother, Cousins, Aunt’s & Uncles. She was always working or hustling, playing sports such as softball & soccer, this carried on throughout her life as she could never sit still. She graduated high school with a secretary degree. At the age of 24, Aida came to the U.S. in search of the American Dream. She landed in Los Angeles, CA where her cousin Marta met her and would help her settle & find her first job. A couple years later, Aida had her only daughter Stacy and shortly after her birth in 1977, she would move to Las Vegas, NV to seek better opportunities for herself & her daughter. She has been a native since, some 40 plus years working at many of the hotels & casinos on the strip since the late 70’s including the old Las Vegas Hilton, Riviera Hotel, Golden Nugget, Circus Circus, Bally’s, Flamingo, MGM, Bellagio, Mirage & more. She held positions mostly in the kitchen, pantry, head pantry, garden manager and the last 20+ years as a banquet food server for many hotels where she had many friends that loved her in spite of her direct nature.
She continued to play soccer via the Corporate Challenge where all the hotels would come together and play many different sports in a season. She was of very competitive nature and always looked to excel in all she did. Aida is survived by her only daughter Stacy Lynch, son-in-law, Ryan Lynch, her grandchildren that she loved, Xavier Larin, Kevin Turpin & Lily Turpin. Her only brother, Ricardo Caceres, his wife Betty Caceres & nephew Eric Caceres & his wife Marilyn Caceres along with their 3 children. Her 1st cousins she grew up with Nora Meza, Jacqueline Ranger & Alvaro Gonzalez, her niece Leonor Ranger, nephews, Julio Meza & Sergio Escobar. Aida has a huge extended family in El Salvador & in the US, who were all a very huge part of her life. She enjoyed family time, friend gatherings, parties, Spanish artist concerts, dancing, singing & lately baseball games with her son-in-law Ryan. She loved thinking back to old times with her family members & the funny things they shared together.
Aida will be cremated and her final destination will be near her grandmother in El Salvador. Her Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11am sharp at Palm Mortuaries, 7400 W.
