Donna and Al, two names I’ve said together for as long as a I can remember. Al was one of a kind and he loved my aunt and my family so much, and we loved him. Donna and Al would spend a week or two with us in Saugus every year and I got to hear stories from Al over breakfast and just smile. Every day while they were there I’d wake up to “dotsie, dotsie, dotsie” and then it turned to “Brady, Brady, Brady”. The dogs always flocked to Al, because of his gentleness. I am lucky to have had Al as my uncle, and for him to teach me even a fraction of the gambling ropes. Mikey, Brady and I will miss him. Love, Jackie 

Donna & Family,     Ellen and I send our Love and condolences, as we were so saddened to hear of Al’s passing.  Al was the best! Whether it was teaching me how to handicap horses, sharing the ins and outs of Vegas, or passing on Union knowledge, Al was always so great to converse with.  From the visits at the Horseshoe, to the coast to coast track visits or the meals at Nora’s or Oscar’s, we had some great times together.  You guys always made time for my friends and I, and those times were priceless. We all know Al is in a better place, and I’m convinced he still has a way to get in on the action!  Thanks for the friendship and the memories Al, you’ll be missed!  Remember the good times,  we love you both!

Alfonz, I love you pal!  You made everyone’s life brighter with a smile and your genuine laugh was infectious.  You swept my mother off her feet when I left for the military.  And for that I’ll always be eternally thankful.  My daughters will miss your funny little jokes and joy for life.  Cindi will miss your happy spirit, positive attitude, and fun sense of humor.   We were blessed to have you in our lives.  You are at peace in now.  Make sure you say hello to all of the family members we’ve lost.  We all love you. Donna I am so sorry for your loss!  I was so lucky to share so many trips with you and Al!  I was able to witness his love for horse racing first hand at Santa Anita, Saratoga, Rockingham as well as dog racing at Wonderland and Raynham.  We had many fun times throughout the years and you two were two peas in a pod!  We will all miss Al!  Such a great man and uncle! Just know he is looking down on you now as your guardian angel.
