

Barbara graduated High School and married her high school sweetheart and love of her life Ben C. Winslow Jr. for 70 years. At the end of his military service, they decided to make Las Vegas their forever home. She would then begin and end her career at Centel (now Lumen) for 30-plus years as the Supervisor of the mail room. She received Christ at the early age of 11 where she was baptized at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was one of the founding members of the True Love Missionary Baptist Church. She served as the President of the Missions and Deacon wives and taught Sunday School for 43 years. She would study and prepare endlessly to make sure books and materials were available for classroom study for her students. She was instrumental in implementing programs to include Take It To The Streets, Mountain Prayer Retreats, Vacation Bible School, Easter and Christmas plays for the youth. She was an active member of the Progressive National Baptist Convention. Serving as President and Assistant Dean of Christian Education and Chairperson of the Southwest Region Unit for the World Mission. Barbara was mostly known for her fine hats, fashionably chic style, and globetrotting adventures. She cruised on more than 18 different ships and visited 6 of the 7 continents. She loved shopping, sewing, and dancing but most of all she loved God.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memories, her children Donald Winslow Las Vegas, NV, Sharon Taylor Atlanta, GA, Ina Winslow Las Vegas, NV, Christopher Winslow (Nadine). Dallas, TX. Grandchildren, Tiffany Stevens, Mario Hunt, Krisha Neighbors, Keshia Winslow, Tywan Price, Damon James, Reginald James, Tanika Walker, Tara Croy, Anna Winslow, 16 Great Grandchildren,4 Great-Great Grandkids, a host of relatives, friends, and her True Love family.
