Beatrice Galvan Turnage

It is with deep love that we announce the passing of Beatrice Turnage, age 90, a long time resident of Las Vegas, Nevada. Beatrice passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026. Beatrice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She was born on September 6, 1935, in Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico, to Faustin Galvan and Maria Soledad Sanchez.

Born in Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico, Beatrice grew up in the mountains she cherished and carried her culture, faith, and traditions with her throughout her life.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister whose gentle strength, kindness, and warm laughter touched everyone who knew her.

Beatrice found joy in life’s simple blessings—tending her garden, sharing stories over tea, and spending time with her loved ones. She was known for her generous heart, deep compassion, and unwavering faith.

She is survived by her children Nancy (Tom), Steve (Debbie), Edwin (Brenda), and Donald (Ranee), and her sister Maria Priscilla Lucero (Willie), as well as her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Beatrice is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, George Turnage; her brothers Uvaldo Galvan, Horacio Galvan, Rufus “Tacho” Galvan (Bertha), and Joe Galvan (Elena); and her sisters Corina Galvan, Lydia Marks (Roy), Sylvia Kruppa (Rodney) and Magdalena Vigil.

To her family, Beatrice was a safe place, a source of unconditional love, and a beautiful example of grace and resilience. Her legacy lives on in the traditions she passed down and the love she shared so freely. She had a beautiful way of making each person feel seen and valued, whether through a warm hug or a thoughtful word.

Though we will miss her deeply, we find comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in the way we care for one another, in the traditions she lovingly passed down, and in the love she placed in our hearts.

Rest peacefully, Beatrice. You will forever remain in our hearts.

A celebration of her life will be held on March 9, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada, where we will gather to honor her memory and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind

A visitation will be held on March 9, 2026, from 8:00 am to 9:00 am at Palm Mortuary - South Jones, located at 1600 South Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146.

The funeral mass will take place on March 9, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Our Lady of Las Vegas Church, located at 3050 Alta Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89107.

The committal service is scheduled for March 9, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, located at 1900 Veterans Mem, Boulder City, NV 89005.
