

Betty Jane Campbell, a retired legal secretary of the United States Federal Government passed away January 16, 2017 in Las Vegas at the age of 82. She was born on November 29, 1934 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and had been a resident of Nevada since 1996. Betty served her country from 1953 to 1955 in the U.S. Air Force. In addition, she was a devout Catholic parishioner at St. Thomas Catholic Church for many years, and within the last year of her life, she became a member of St. Barnabas the Apostle Catholic Church. Betty loved her family and friends. She also loved the Denver Broncos, watching baseball and drinking a cold glass of lemonade on a hot day.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Campbell; and her siblings, Chalmers, Susie, Anna, Sally, Hattie, Dorothy, Lucille, Marie, William and Nannie. Betty leaves to cherish her memory, her five children, David, Annette, Gisella, Penny, and Ginger; five grandchildren, Victor, Pieranyelis, Xiania, Danielle, and Carlo; four great - grandchildren, Sabastian, Isys, Lamont and Kevin. In her honor, there will be a visitation from 10-11am and a funeral service to follow at 11am. Both will be held on Friday, February 3rd at Palm South Jones Mortuary, 1600 S Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146. Burial will be at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005 after the funeral.
