Bobby Verser passed on January 6, 2021 after an amazing and colorful life. If a man is judged by the company he keeps and number of friends, Bobby was blessed beyond measure. Born in central California he moved to Las Vegas when he was 10 years old. He told the best stories and had many memories of “the good old days”. He lived life to the fullest and was an expert at phun. He had the look of an everyman and was a gifted observer. He channeled these skills into a successful business and his advice and expertise were sought by many. He shared the past 30 years with his greatest love, his wife, Laura Langley. Their adventures and travels were many and he was always up for exploring what was around the corner. One of his favorite quotes was “you either get busy living or get busy dying”. He lived with vigor and died with grace. He will be missed by his wife, daughter Lori Eads (Kirk), grandchildren Kaitlyn and Payton, nieces, nephew and countless friends. He was a proud Mason (33⁰ and Shriner) for over 50 years and Past Master of his Lodge. Bobby served in the Navy although he had to be coaxed into sharing his heroism. He rode a Harley for most of his life, went to the Sturgis Rally in South Dakota 33 times and even has a brick on Main Street. BBQ, Tacos, burgers and ice cream…he could not get enough of his favorite foods. A classic car enthusiast, he could tell you the make, model and year of any car prior to 1970. A romantic he would surprise Laura with vacations, flowers and once a vintage VW Bug. He was a classic, as comfortable in his tux as his HD leathers. The world lost a unique and rare man, his absence is palpable, and stories of his life will be told for many years. His greatest gift was being the recipient of a donor kidney in November 2017. This selfless act of organ donation by an unknown family allowed him to live three years untethered with better health and freedom. He was cared for by many dedicated health care professionals over the years, particularly the team at the UMC Center for Transplantation, UMC Hospital, Dr. Syed Shah, Dr. Ernesto McCombs and Dr. Craig Hunter. Remember Bobby through kindness to each other and tolerance for all. Do the next right thing. A Masonic service and Memorial will be held once everyone can be together.
