Calvin was a Staff sergeant, U.S. Air Force, Vietnam War veteran. Served 12 years before going to the Nevada Department of Corrections. Served 22 years, retired as Corrections sergeant
Calvin loved music, was a self-taught musician (bass guitar, keyboard, drums and singing); in the Air Force, he was a member of the Tops & Blue band and also played in various bands throughout his life. He also loved reading, basketball, football, watching movies/tv shows, especially crime/forensic shows.

A visitation will be held at Palm Mortuary - Northwest, located at 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131, on February 1, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
The funeral service will also take place at Palm Mortuary - Northwest on February 1, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
