Cathy Hassen Corbett

Cathy was born on January 15, 1956, to Virginia and Edward Hassen in Dayton, OH. She grew up in New Carlisle, OH alongside her three older brothers Tom, Tim, and Tony. She went on to attend Ohio University where she received her degree in Education as she always had a passion for helping children.

After graduation, she moved to Las Vegas, NV where she met the love of her life, James Corbett and they wed in 1987. In 1994, she gave birth to her daughter, Hayley Corbett. Cathy was an exceptional mother, not only to her daughter, but to her beloved golden retrievers Gracie, Lucy and Ellie as well.

Cathy was a compassionate and incredibly thoughtful woman who always went out of her way to help others and to ensure those she loved always knew just how much she loved them. She had a heart of gold, a kind voice and a warm smile that will be missed by many.

While Cathy’s passing came unexpectedly and much too soon, her family will continue to honor her beautiful spirit in everything they do and keep the memories of her very near and dear to their hearts.

Cathy is survived by her husband James Corbett, their daughter Hayley Corbett, and her brothers Timothy & Thomas Hassen. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is reunited with her beloved family that predeceased her, including her mother and father Virginia & Edward Hassen, her brother Tony Hassen, her sister Cecilia Hassen, and her stepson Patrick Corbett.
