February 10, 1948 – December 15, 2025
Charles “Charlie” Edward Jack III, age 77, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025. Born on February 10, 1948, Charlie lived a life marked by excellence, integrity, devotion to family, and an enduring love of sports.
Charlie married the love of his life, Diane Jack, on December 26, 1966. Together they shared nearly 59 years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, partnership, and family.
A gifted and highly accomplished athlete, Charlie attended Brookfield Central High School in Wisconsin, where he distinguished himself as one of the most talented athletes in school history. He was named to the Wisconsin All-State Basketball Team in 1966 and was the highest-scoring basketball player in Brookfield Central High School history for over 50 years. In recognition of his extraordinary athletic achievements, Charlie was inducted into the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014.
Charlie was also an exceptional baseball pitcher…approached to go to the minors in baseball, but basketball was where he truly excelled. During the 1965–1966 season, he set single-season school records with 554 points and 364 rebounds, accomplishments that stood as a testament to his dedication, discipline, and competitive spirit.
Charlie went on to attend Valparaiso University, graduating magna cum laude in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts degree on a full basketball scholarship. He continued his education at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he received a Master of Science degree in Psychology and Statistics in 1972.
Professionally, Charlie built a highly respected career in executive recruiting. He rose through the ranks beginning with Management Recruiters International (MRI), later joining Wargo & Company Executive Recruiters. He ultimately founded Fox Hill Associates in Brookfield, Wisconsin, establishing a national physician recruitment firm that served more than 600 clients. His leadership and impact on the industry were recognized in 1989 when he received the President’s Award from the National Association of Physician Recruiters for meritorious contributions to the profession.
Above all else, Charlie’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He and Diane spent most of their lives in Wisconsin, where they raised their daughter, Barbara (BJ) Bushur, and their son, Charles (Charlie) Edward Jack IV, alongside their beloved dogs, Cracker and Flap Jack. Many cherished memories were made at their family cottage on Hills Lake.
Charlie and Diane moved to Las Vegas to enjoy retirement, spending time with family, welcoming grandchildren, and indulging Charlie’s love of sports—especially sports handicapping & betting, combining his love of sports with his acumen for statistics.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Diane Jack; daughter Barbara (Christopher) Bushur; son, Charlie (Tracy) Jack IV; and his cherished grandchildren: Alex, Samantha, and Haley Jack, and Cole and Rex Bushur and beloved grand-dogs, Moki & Minnie. He is also survived by his sister, Cindy (Dave) Casper, niece, Stephanie Schroeder, and sister-in-law, Clare Rutlin, nephew, Daniel Rutlin, nephew Eddie Fricke, and niece, Renee Lowery. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Fricke, and brother-in-law, David Rutlin, niece, Erica Rutlin, and nephew, Jeff Casper.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 26, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Palm Mortuary – Cheyenne, located at 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89129.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charlie’s memory to Turning Point USA (https://donate.tpusa.com/) or https://nevadaspca.app.neoncrm.com/forms/memorialdonations
Charlie will be remembered for his competitive spirit, sharp intellect, professional excellence, loyalty, humor, and—most of all—his deep love for his family. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched, both personally and professionally.
Charlie’s life reflected perseverance, faith, and devotion—values he carried both on and off the court. As Scripture reminds us, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7). Charlie now rests in the presence of the Lord he trusted throughout his life.
