3 years have gone by in the blink of an eye. I remember you with fondness. Keep on resting dear Chris till we meet again.

It's so important to tell your loved ones that you do love and cherish them while they are alive.  You will never know how much I  cherished your views and approval . You were my role model but I never took the time to let you  know.  I miss you my brother.

Rest in peace dear Chris. Two years have passed so quickly. Sleep on, take your rest. You have run the race and you have been victorious. Miss you my beautiful friend.

Chris, gentle, intelligent with a beautiful mind (how you described mine) but it was yours that engaged mine and which took me on such tremendously mind bending and mind opening experiences. We did not fulfill our promise to travel back to Africa together; you had wanted to go this year; neither did I come to see you in Las Vegas as I had wanted to do in Thanksgiving of last year; too much overthinking, hesitation and caution. But we got to spend a lifetime of high school when we were in the spring of our sojourn here and through our memories stayed linked through the years until time and space knitted us together again. We grew on a deeper level over the past year, but alas time would not serve our purpose. I know you would not want me or anyone else to mourn your departure because you and I are secure in the knowledge that you have ascended to a higher plane as only creatures of light will do. It will only be a little while longer and I will have ascended too. I will follow the  beautiful and haunting vibrations of your drum beats that will guide me to that meadow where I will find you running free hand in hand with your beloved Mother Coop. Enjoy until I come.
