

Consuelo Sosa “Tillie” Berumen, 87, of Las Vegas, was peacefully called to Heaven, October 9, 2016, in the beautiful home her devoted husband, of 65 years, Luis, built for her. She was born November 2, 1928, in El Paso, Texas, to Juan and Rafaela Sosa. She relocated to Oxnard, California in 1943 and moved to Las Vegas in 1989. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jose and Juan Sosa; sisters, Caroline Murillo, Catalina Felix and Lucy Nuñez. She is survived by her husband, Luis; daughter, Virginia Nuñez of Las Vegas; granddaughter, Christine “Kitty” Rodriguez; grandson, Freddie (Anna) Rodriguez; great-grandchildren, Selina Saenz, Anthony Mack, Joseph, Eleana and Isiah Rodriguez; great-great-granddaughter, Sofia Flores; siblings, Edward Sosa, Nellie San Miguel, Anita Cerda and Marina Ramirez; and many nieces, nephews and Godchildren. Consuelo retired as lab technician with Heubein Company in Oxnard. She will be remembered for her unconditional love of family, generous spirit, humor, kindness, spirituality and love of her pets, especially her cat, “Golden Boy.” Visitation will be 3:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday, October 20, with a Rosary following, both at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89129. Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 21, at St. Elizabeth Anne Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Dr., Las Vegas, NV 89128. Committal service following at Palm Northwest Cemetery, 6701 N. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89131. “Rest in peace dearest and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to so many. You will be in our hearts forever, and remembered fondly and lovingly by everyone you touched.”
