Corrine Phyliss Schechter, 84, of Las Vegas, passed away Aug. 21, 2013. Born Aug. 6, 1929, in Chicago, Ill., to Harry and Esther Nixon. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband Morton Schechter and brother Marvin Nixon. She is survived by her daughter Lynn Ruderman of Las Vegas; and her sons Eric Schechter of Florida and Neal Schechter of New York; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial to immediately follow at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas.
