Craig Charles Escarzaga has gone to that great hunting ground in the sky. We will miss him dearly but hope he has at last found the place where he game is abundant and the birds fill the skies. He passed on October 12, 2015 at home with his family to see him off. Craig was born in Whittier California, May 24, 1951. He spent his exuberant youth in southern California and moved to Las Vegas in 1976. He became a member of the Operating Engineers Local 501 in 1979 and went to work for the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel where he met the love of his life, Fran. He worked at the Hilton for 27 years taking lots of time off to pursue his real passion; hunting, fishing and golf. His favorite place was tracking the "big one" whether deer, elk, geese or bass. He also loved making the home he and Fran shared a place that wildlife could enjoy, too. Fran, his partner and wife of 32 years, still lived there. He left behind family, Kevin Carson, his stepson, and Fran's sisters, Phyllis Ricco and Pene Speaks and her husband Jim, and many friends and hunting/golfing/fishing partners. We will be celebrating his life on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 4:00PM at the Aliante Golf Club, 3100 Elkhorn Road, North Las Vegas, Nevada 89084.
