Dear Daphne!
Twenty years ago today,  I remember exactly where I was when I got your call. After you married Gerald, you promised you would call me on your 40th birthday. (Our inside joke). I was expecting your call that day but I wasn't expecting the news you gave me.  I remember laughing so hard, everyone in my office heard me. Oh, how happy I was to hear the news that you and Gerald were having twins. 
Over the years I remember attending ballet recitals and storytelling festivals, dances and WSU football practices. (And anyone who knows me knows I don't like football.) I remember aerobics classes together and long conversations on the phone when you moved from Utah. I appreciate the time you called me out for something I said and you did it with poise and grace.  I'm so grateful for text messaging in recent years because I can look back and chuckle at some of our conversations.
When I got Gerald's call on February 11, 2021, I had been hoping for a call but it wasn't the news that I was expecting or wanted to hear.  It was gut-wrenching. I will forever remember where I was when I got that call. COVID sucks!
Never could I have foreseen that, as a result of you deciding to return to your love of painting, you blessed me with a forever tangible reminder of you. You were an amazingly talented and gifted woman with a huge heart. I treasure the friendship we had.
Daphne (aka Vivica, Fred's name for you), on your 60th birthday I’m sending you lots of birthday love.  I miss you, my heart is broken and I love you so much, sis! 💔

My condolences and my prayers to Gerald, Isaiah, Symone, Caleb, Daphne's sisters and brothers and extended family.

My family had the pleasure of growing up with Daphne, she was kind and beautiful, and the memories thru the years will be treasured.  She will be missed dearly.  Prayers of strength and peace to  Gerald and Family.  Rest in Peace Daphne.

I knew Daphne from high school. I considered her a sweet and dear friend. We had a lot of laughs together and she was liked by many. Prayers of strength and peace to her family and all who loved her!

My dear beloved cousin Gerald, I am so sad to hear your beautiful angel received her wings. Aunt Lettie and I had been praying for her and we continue to lift you and the family up in prayer. Please know you are not walking alone. Allow the Lord to carry you through. Much love.  Joyce

When my phone rang, I answered excited to hear her sweet, calming voice as I always did. To hear Gerald and what came afterwards, was a shock like no other! We didn't talk often, but when we did, our conversations were long trying to catch up. My last visit there is a memory I will cherish forever. 
To Gerald and her family I pray that you find comfort in the fact that she knew God  and that we will see her again.
She loved her family deeply and would want you to live your life to the fullest.  Continue to make her proud and cherish the beautiful memories.

Daphne was an amazing mother and friend my prayers go to the family

I deeply saddened by the loss of Daphne , I have fond memories of growing up with her and  will always remember how sweet and loving she was,  I pray her family can find peace through this difficult time, much Love to you all,   clayborne


I was shocked and sadden to learn of Daphe's passing.  She was a sweet and loving person whose bright light and will be deeply missed.  

My heart goes out to the family.  This new angel will be watching over you.

I miss my cousin already. We were just a few months apart and spent many years together. The life we have lost was a life lived well. Daphne was a beautiful person and loved by all that knew her.  She will be missed by all that knew her.

To the family of Daphne White-Bradley.  I am so sorry for your loss.  Please know that you have my deepest sympathy and that you’re in my prayers.  I pray that God will comfort, strengthen, and give you peace that surpasses all understanding during this difficult time.   

To Gerald, I know the loss of a spouse is a hurt like no other.  Go ahead and cry.  The Bible says “weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” (Psalms 30:5).  And it will come!

Daphne was my neighbor. I remember her as loving tap dance and ballet.  

My heart was deeply saddened when I heard of her passing.  .She had such a compassionate and warm heart.  Just a beautiful person from within and out.

One year I was  visiting my granddaughter and twin great-granddaughters in Las Vegas.  Daphne found out I was in town and called me to bring my family to meet up with her and her family at one of the hotel restaurants.  She had such a loving and close family.  It was so easy to be in their company.  We all had such a great time talking and laughing with each other.  She made us feel  like we were her family too. Even my twin great-granddaughters enjoyed Daphne and her entire family.  As a matter of fact, when we left them, my great-grands said to me, “grandma that was so much fun!  When you come back to Las Vegas, can we do that again?  They were so much fun!”  For my great-granddaughters to have been that comfortable in the company of Daphne and her family with just meeting them for the first time ever speaks volumes for the type of person Daphne was.  

Daphne will be missed dearly.  Cherish those precious memories you built together with her.  Let them continue to live on in your hearts forever.  Thank God for the life of Daphne White-Bradley and the years He allowed her to be here on earth with all of you/us before calling her home.  May Daphne Rest In Peace in the arms of the Lord.

                  RESOLUTION
Daphne,
Psalm 121 declares,  I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help, my help cometh from the Lord which made Heaven and Earth.
We submit to the will of God at the transitioning of Daphne and our hearts are saddened that our youngest niece and nephews, Symone, Isaiah and Kaleb are without their mom so early in their lives.  Gerald we know this hurts and we're sorry that Covid-19 and an ice storm keeps us from being there with the family. 
Our deepest sympathies go to Daphne's sibling as they mourn to passing of their babysister, to her niece's and nephews, her other babies, and her extended family.   Our hearts are saddened that she will not be able to spoil her grandchildren.
Gerald, we your siblings encourage you to to follow the word of God that says "if you draw nigh to God he will draw nigh to you. We want you and the children to know that we are here for you.
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED:  That you remember that the word of God says the he will wipe away all tears.
BE IT RESOLVED: That you not only be grateful for the sense of family that Daphne created and instilled but continue it.
BE IT ALSO RESOLVED:  That a copy of this resolution be left on record of Daphne's home church and copies given to her family.

I keep replaying the voicemail on my phone that you left a couple months ago to check on me. Thank you for always caring for me & loving me so much.  It was so mutual!
One thing I will get better at is returning calls because I’d do anything to be given that opportunity again.  
But when we did talk I literally had to prepare 2-3 hours for a convo, lol!! But seriously, I looked forward to it, you are so kind & smart with the best advice. I loved putting my kids to bed, grabbing a glass of wine & calling Aunt Daff! I’m going to miss everything about you & I loved being the babysitter for you and Uncle G when the twins were younger, we would meet halfway in Centerville so y’all could have a break.  You are one of the best women I’ve known & so strong!

Aunt Daphne, 

I’ll never forget the story of when you first met me. I couldn’t have been more than a few weeks old and wouldn’t stop crying. I cried the entire journey to Utah to see you. Only you knew that I was crying because I was hungry. I was being fed but it wouldn’t satisfy me. Your aunt instincts knew that I needed more than just milk so you went out & bought cereal to mix with my milk, cut a larger hole in my bottle, & fed me. My crying ceased almost immediately. This story is just a simple example of the love you poured out into your family. An example of my first encounter with the endless nourishment you would provide for each and every one of us. You immersed us in warming embrace and kindness. You always knew how to love us in the ways we needed to be loved. I am grateful to have shared a part of my journey with you, auntie.

Your love was large and you your influence was grand. As a little child many of my memories with my cousins, dancing and art are at your house. I have distinct memories of analyzing your art and thinking I want to be just like you, I admired and understood what creativity was.  You were always so supportive and I will cherish my memories with you.

I am truly at a loss for words.  I am praying for you all.  I will never forget such a beautiful Spirit that has passed through my life.  She gracefully  allowed me to act like I was so much older. Daphne is my Babysister, she was the youngest of 6. My sister called me almost everyday. I keep waiting for her to call me.
10 years ago I took Daphne to a week long trip to Hawaii, for her 50th Birthday.
We had a wonderful time and promised to have a Sister-Niece trip at least every 10 years.....Needless to say we can’t do that  !
My heart is broken and it’s hard to release her. She was my Birthday gift from Mom when I was 13....She will remain “MY MOST PRECIOUS GIFT”
Thank you LORD for allowing me to be her big sister for 59 years 
I miss her so much. Rest well my beautiful babygirl, I see you on the other side!

Daphne, Teri A. Bell and I grew up in the same neighborhood and attended the same schools.  I will always remember how smart she was and how beautiful she was and her great smile.  She and I crossed paths again, as adults, when we both lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  She was there for me in difficult times when I lost my brother and then my father.  I will never forget her kindness.  My deepest condolences go out to her family and loved ones.  May she RIP!  Paula Vigil-Yates and family.

Daphne was always a positive light, an encourager, and the best at giving advice. I am grateful for our life long friendship! Her support during Pearls of Praise practice and her laugh will always be remembered. We were sad when they were leaving Utah, but I loved how she always kept me in the loop of how they were doing.
