Darlene Lucille Kaleihauoli Andrade, age 43, passed away on March 3, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born in San Jose, California, and spent much of her childhood in Oahu, Hawaii, where she was lovingly raised by her grandparents, Henrietta and William Andrade, until 1992. She later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, to live with her parents and siblings.
During her middle school years, Darlene was very active in athletics, participating in sports such as tennis. She also developed a passion for golf and became an accomplished player through the Inner-City Youth Golf Program. She continued playing golf throughout high school and took pride in representing her school. Darlene was also the only member of her family to participate in the ROTC program, dedicating three years to the program—an achievement she was very proud of. In 2000, she graduated from Rancho High School.
Throughout her life, Darlene held several positions, including cashier and dialysis technician, but one of her most meaningful roles was serving as a paratransit driver, where she took pride in helping others in her community. She lived in Tucson, Arizona, for two years before returning to Las Vegas, where she remained until her passing.
Above all, Darlene was a devoted mother to her four sons: Ku’ukoaikaikaloamaikalani, Tariq, Raul III, and Brayden. Her love for her children and her dedication to her family were the center of her life. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Darlene is survived by her four beloved sons; her mother, Adriene Oridaniza; her three sisters, Heather, Bernadette, and Krystle; and her brother, Benigno Jr. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Sam, sister-in-law, Kim; her brother-in-law; her three nephews; and her two nieces. She also leaves behind dear friends who become like family and who will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father, Benigno Sr.
Darlene will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, and especially by her sons, who were the center of her life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
