Dave was a kind, compassionate, funny and an incredibly smart man. An iron worker for more than 40 years, he loved his job, and could name every building and job on which he worked. He was a literal Rockstar and was part of a band called the Dux while a teenager. Throughout his life, he could often be found playing his guitar and watching videos of his favorite musicians.
This May, he would have been married to his wife, Jan, for 42 years. Together they enjoyed spending time with their daughters, Megan and Kirsten, going to Disneyland, and rooting for the Denver Broncos.
However, the biggest light of his life was becoming a grandfather to his four beautiful grandchildren, Harper, Elizabeth, Evelyn, and Henry. They were his greatest pride and joy, and his memory will live on in them forever.
David is survived by his spouse, Janet Marie Garrett; his daughter Kirsten Hill; and his daughter Megan Garrett Denin; his grandchildren Harper, Elizabeth, Evelyn and Henry.
David was preceded in death by his father T. D. Garrett and his mother Helen Garrett.
A memorial service for David will be held Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Palm Cheyenne Mortuary, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89129.
