David M. Wedlow was born on September 19, 1937 in Altheimer, AR. He received his eduction at Altheimer Training School and graduated in 1959 with his high school diploma. David left Arkansas in 1959 to relocate to Las Vegas, NV and has been a resident for 58 years. He met and married Cordia Stewart on April 26, 1963. They have two children born to this union Wayne Wedlow and Dwanna Wedlow.
David enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and having a good time. He was one of the first African American Cowboys. He periodically attended the local rodeos and would watch the sport on television. He loved telling jokes and making people laugh.
He is survived by his wife, Cordia Wedlow; son, Wayne Wedlow; daughter, Dwanna Wedlow all of Las Vegas, NV. He had three grandchildren, Waynnesha Wedlow, Jamere Wedlow, and Aleeya Wedlow all of Las Vegas, NV; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucinda White Wedlow, father, William Wedlow, Sr., two brothers, Edward Wedlow and Green Wedlow, one son Phillip Hooker.
