Delores "Dee" Kathrein

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 14th, 2019 at St. Frances de Sales with Fr. James Bevon officiating.

Delores was born in New England, North Dakota to Fidelis and Katheryne Fitterer on December 12, 1932. Delores was married to William Kathrein on June 26, 1956 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New England, North Dakota and moved to Billings, Montana where they raised 7 children. In 1990, Dee and Bill relocated and later retired in Las Vegas, Nevada. She loved to entertain in her home and welcomed any and all who desired. Dee was strong, compassionate, persistent, loving, talented and most of all, devoted to her faith. She spent a lifetime of service to the Church up until she could no longer physically do so. She truly enjoyed serving others. Her talents in cooking, baking, sewing and yes, cleaning, were truly amazing! (Corners and edges have a different meaning in the life of her children.) Most importantly, she taught us the power of prayer and faithfulness.

Delores is preceded in death by her father, Fidelis Fitterer, her mother, Katheryne Fitterer, her brother Frances Fitterer and her devoted husband of 50 years, William Kathrein. She is survived by her children, Patricia and Renato Ritter, Katherine and Stan Barr, Mike Kathrein, James and Lori Kathrein, Connie and Andrew Harrop, Shelley and Eddie Aldaco and William and Loreen Kathrein; her siblings, John Fitterer, Paul Fitterer, Marlene Wagner, Irene Purcell, Fidelis Fitterer, Clements Fitterer, Roger Fitterer, Leroy Fitterer, Dean Fitterer and Allan Fitterer. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She left a lovely legacy and will be deeply missed. We are all grateful God has brought her home.
