Deserie Jacintha Harris, 49, passed away April 25, 2010. She was born Jan. 12, 1961. A Las Vegas native, she graduated from Rancho High School. For 12 years, Deserie resided in San Bernardino, Calif., where she worked for San Bernardino County and was a member of HolyLand C.O.G.I.C. She returned to Las Vegas in 2007, where she was a nutrition specialist at UMC. Deserie was preceded in death by her father, JC Harris; grandmother, Helen Morgan; great-grandmother, Ola Mae Shaw; and nephew, Elmer Perry III. She is survived by her mother, Josephine Demille; sister, Jennifer Harris; brothers, Gregory Harris, James "Brucie" Harris Jr. and Aaron Harris Sr.; four children, Michelle, Michael, MyKeesha and Donte; her children's fathers, Michael Edwards and Shelby Perry; 10 grandchildren, Isys, Isabella, Mariah, Michael Giovanni, Michael Elmer Lamar, Mileyon, Madisyn, James III, Brooklynn and Isaiah; a great-niece; two great-nephews; and close family and friends. A viewing will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, April 30. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 1, both at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
