God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time, accepting hardship as the path to peace, taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it, trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His will, that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him forever in the next.
I'd like the memory of me To be a happy one. I'd like to leave an afterglow Of smiles When life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering Softly down the ways. Of happy times and laughing times And bright sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve, To dry before the sun Of happy memories that I leave When life is done.
