She entered eternal life on December 21, 2020.
She married her high school sweetheart Doug, and was married to him for 62 years. She raised four children through strength, love, joy, encouragement, patience and support. Her caring nature was called upon as she cared for her own dad during his personal battle with MDS.
Eddi, as she was called, was first diagnosed with MDS when she was 75. She beat the numbers, living far longer than doctor’s expected. She was very optimistic throughout her treatments, infusions, and transfusions. Our mom was a valiant, heroic fighter. She always believed that tomorrow would be a better day.
She lived life to the fullest, surrounded by family and friends who adored her. She could dance circles along with us all, and march through the neighborhood (to Sousa) as she did with us when we were children. She was game for new adventure, loved to travel, enjoyed music, and was an amazing cook.
Eddi was a helper. She insisted all of our friends call her Mom. She found joy and shed tears watching Hallmark films and rom coms. For years she participated on her weekly bowling teams and was very active in her church, until her health condition made it impossible.
We are comforted by our precious memories and knowing she is at peace, an angel in heaven, and with our dad.
