Eliza M Boykin

Eliza Mae Jackson entered this life on August 19,1923, the seventh child of Monroe and Jennie Quails Jackson in Bienville, LA. Lisa became a disciple of Jesus Chris at the age of ten and began her very personal relationship with God and her Church. She graduated from Gibsland Colored School and graduated from Grambling State University with a degree in Elementary Education.

After a short career in teaching, she moved to Marion, IN and married McKinley Faulkner and raised four sons. When she re-entered the workplace, she became proficient in accounting, computer science and technical writing. She held a variety of positions horning her skills until she became one of the first black management professionals in Corporate America as a Documentation Analyst Data Security Administrator at Greyhound Lines, Inc., retiring in 1989.

While continuing to excel in the workplace, Lisa served as a member of the Advisory Board on Homelessness in San Diego, CA., a volunteer at the Salvation Army and the Senior Nutrition Program. In her Church, she participated in Christian Education Training, the Senior Ministry, President of the Women's Missionary Union and Program Chairperson of the American Baptist Church of the West. Since moving to Las Vegas, she has served her Church in the Senior Ministry Program and working with the homeless and legal aid to seniors Programs.

She married Nathaniel Boykin in 1980 who proceeded her in death. Lisa departed this life on June 19,2014. She leaves three son to cherish her memory: Ernest and Clinton (Linda) Faulkner of Toledo, OH and Paul (Leah) of Willow/brook, IL. Her son Ronald passed away in 1989. She also leaves 11 grandchildren, 18 great grand children, two sisters: Marie of Phoenix AZ and Lynne of Indianapolis, IN plus a host of nieces, nephews, friends and her church family.
