

ELMER AGSALUD R.N. In loving memory of Elmer Ramos Agsalud, 67, of Las Vegas, passed away May 7, 2012. He was born March 25, 1945, in Asingan, Pangasinan, Philippines. Elmer was a resident of Los Angeles for 40 years and resided in Las Vegas for the last 10 years. Elmer served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. His family is politically identified and highly-respected by many, not to mention being the first cousin of the Philippines Past President Fidel Ramos and U.N. Director and Philippine Senator Leticia Ramos-Shahani. Elmer was one of the sons of the late Pura and Mariano Agsalud of Asingan. Like himself, his father had also served in the Army. His father was a well-known dentist and his mother was a registered nurse at their family-owned hospital established in the Philippines. Elmer's siblings are also highly-educated and reside in various areas of California. Elmer was a well-known accountant, registered nurse and house supervisor at Spring Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, Bellflower Medical Center in California, as well as business owner of Agsalud Home Care I. Elmer is survived by his wife; Jennifer Agsalud; daughter Chelsea sons; Erwin and Bernard, brothers; Mario, Edmundo and Rafael, and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas. Visitation again 3-8 p.m. Thursday, May 17 and Friday, May 18, both at Green Hills Mortuary and Memorial Chapel, 2750 S. Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at St. Lawrence Martyr Church, 1900 S. Prospect Ave., Redondo Beach, CA 90277. Burial following at Green Hills Memorial Park.
