Born on April 24, 1936 in Los Angeles, California, Keta started her career as a professional Flamenco dancer in theater and on stage at age 12. As a young adult in the 50s, she was part of the budding East L.A. Car Club culture as a member of the Knightettes. In 1956, Keta married her lifemate, Ralph, and together they started a family of six. Working her way up through the typing pools, she helped bridge the technology from shorthand typing to computers. She retired from Hughes Aircraft, and in 1989, and as "Empty Nesters" she and Ralph relocated to the Las Vegas Valley.
Keta’s sense of humor was quick, she loved to laugh, play games, and do jigsaw puzzles. Bingo was always on the agenda, and she was an amazing cook. She always had a moment to listen to a problem and offer a comforting word of encouragement. She picked up any craft and mastered it quickly, and was never afraid to stand up for something she believed in.
A woman of Strength and Love, Keta will be incredibly missed. As a beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, she is survived by her Husband, Ret. USAF MSgt. Ralph Gonzales, their four children and their spouses Norine & Todd Reed, Kathy and Marty Leonard, Ralph and Claudia Gonzales, and Lori Ann and Robert Gebbie, 13 Grandchildren with 6 spouses, 18 Great Grandchildren, her sisters, Delfina (Fina) Castro and Enadina (Nanie) Hornyak, and extended family.
