On May 8th 2021 God called our angel home. After several months in and out of hospitals, rehabs, and Homecare fighting through Illness and constant pain her battle ended and she is no longer in pain or suffering.
She was surrounded by her family in her last days. Billie, as she was affectionately known was a loving wife, grandmother, aunt and friend.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Rudolph Vargas, both Parents Aurelia Cordova and Joe Cordova as well as her Siblings, Louis Cordova, Florence Hampton, Mary Valdez and Phillip Cordova. Her only surviving family is her Sister Alice Traylor, Lakewood Colorado. She was born and grew up in Ft Collins, Colorado area, grew up and married John B Chacon. John died in an auto accident.
Billie remarried Rudolph Vargas, whom also passed in October 2019. Soon In 1998 they moved to Las Vegas to enjoy retirement and a warmer climate. Her hope was to always move back one day and enjoy the beautiful scenery and mountains as she’d always loved.
She is survived by her sister Alice Traylor, Lakewood Colorado and two daughters Beatrice Saheli, Federal Way Washington, and Helen Garcia, Pueblo Colorado. She also is survived by her 7 grandchildren,4 grandkids, and several nieces and nephews, most of whom live in Ft Collins Colorado, Great Granddaughter and Daughter Stevie Morgan, and Granddaughter Lori Vargas both of Las Vegas NV.
Her best days were spent with family retelling of old stories, sharing memories and travel. She was a homemaker, whom loved to cook, sew and volunteer at the school. She was a member of several clubs in the DAV in her early years with Rudolph Vargas. In her later years she was lovingly taken care of by her Great Granddaughter and Daughter Stevie Morgan of las Vegas, NV.
We will greatly miss her wisdom, laughter, and love. We will be honoring her request of no funeral service.
Heaven gained another angel.
