Sister Farrell L. Batson

Farrell L. Batson was born on January 12, 1934 to the late Farrel C. and Tressie L. Reed in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was baptized into the body of Christ in 1949 at the Church of Christ in Fort Smith, Arkansas. On April 16, 1952 she was united in marriage to Q. Jarone Batson and their union was blessed with three children. The family lived in El Paso, Texas for 30 years. Farrell and Jarone later relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1998. Farrell placed her membership at the North Las Vegas Church of Christ in 1999 where she worked out her soul salvation until death. Farrell was employed in the retail industry and retired as a Training Manager for the Sear Corporation in 1985. Her job profession coincided with her favorite hobby, which was shopping. She is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Drexel. Farrell leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Jarone Batson of Las Vegas, NV; children, Cheryl Diane Abernathy (Michael) of Las Vegas, NV, Roderick Batson (Sheila) of Houston, TX; her siblings, Betty Walker of Berkley, CA, Vida Reed of Oakland, CA, Linda West (Jarrett) of Sacramento, CA, Gail Cuble of Osceola, AR, Phyllis Webb (Harry) of Gary, IN, Sheila Dixon, Ida Reed, Edsorena Reed, Julia Sanders (Darrell), Fasha Woods (Bernard), Mahlon Reed, Farrell Reed Jr, and Delmar Reed all of Memphis, TN, David Reed of Tulsa, OK; her grandchildren, Michael Abernathy II (Tammie) of Las Vegas, NV, Dana Batson of Houston, TX, and Roderick Batson Jr (Christina) of San Antonio, TX; her great-granddaughter, Kalea Wiley of Houston, TX; and a host of other relatives, friends, and members of her Spiritual Family.
