Gladys Mary Davis

Gladys Mary Davis was the first born child to Gulfred and Gertrude Clayton on December 16, 1932 in Marksville, Louisiana. Her siblings Leonard Clayton, Mazie Norwood (both of whom precede her in death), and John Harold Clayton.

On June 3, 1950, Gladys married Joseph Watson Kirkland, Jr. in Los Angeles, CA. To this union were born two children, Ella Marie Warther and Edmond Joseph Kirkland (who precedes her in death).

During the late 1980's, Gladys relocated to Las Vegas, NV. On December 31, 1992, Gladys married Arthur Jerome Davis (who precedes her in death). During this period of time they enjoyed spending time together while going to the casino and traveling. Gladys enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

On Sunday, September 21, 2025, Gladys was called to heaven. She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Edmond, who precedes her in death and her daughter, Ella Warther. Her grandchildren, Darryl Keith Warther (granddaughter in law, Sarah Warther), Ebony Kirkland (grandson in law, Droshawn Goodin), Philip Paul Warther, Noel Locke, Michael Patrick Warther (granddaughter in law, Haley Warther), Evan Kirkland (granddaughter in law, Caitlyn Day); brother, John Harold Clayton (sister in law, Sally Clayton), and goddaughter, Tamara Prince. Gladys also leaves behind a tremendous amount of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
