

Harold Latamore Brooks II, age 77, passed away on June, 5, 2020 unexpectedly in his home in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but has been a Las Vegas resident for more than 20 years.
Harold attended Germantown High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and graduated in 1960 before attending Howard University in Washington D.C. Following graduation he served as an Army Signal Corps Officer in Vietnam; following that he began work as an electrical engineer at the DuPont Corporation before transitioning into a management role. He has enjoyed retirement for the last 27 years.
In his spare time, he liked to walk, read, and play poker. He is survived by two daughters, Traci Brooks, 51, and Dayna Smith, 47; and two grandchildren Jarren Smith, 21 and Anna Smith, 15; and a host of extended family members and friends. He was particularly fond of his Wednesday Poker Discussion Group and rarely missed a meeting. He will be dearly missed by all.
A memorial service will be held in Las Vegas at a future date to be determined pending resolution of the COVID-19 pandemic. Memorial donations can be made in his honor to The American Heart Association in lieu of flowers.
